Our Story

From a Warehouse Floor to a Nationwide Supply Network

Lumex Supply Co. was founded in 2014 by a team of IT asset disposition specialists who were tired of dealing with opaque grading standards, inconsistent stock counts, and wholesale suppliers who treated B2B clients like afterthoughts.

We started with a single 6,000 sq ft warehouse in Philadelphia and a strict rule: every unit we ship leaves with documentation. Grade report, test log, serial number. No exceptions.

Today, we operate three distribution centers across the East Coast and maintain active inventory relationships with Fortune 500 lease-return programs, federal equipment auctions, and OEM factory overstock channels. That means better SKU diversity and deeper stock โ€” consistently.

The secondary market for IT equipment is messy. Grade definitions vary by seller, stock counts are sometimes fictional, and "refurbished" can mean anything from factory-reconditioned to wiped-and-resold.

We set out to fix that. Our grading rubric is published publicly on our Services page. Our test logs are available on request for any SKU. And our account managers are paid on client retention โ€” not just the first order.

The result: clients stay. Our average client relationship is 4.8 years, and 68% of new business comes from referrals.
